Dimitris Chimonas is a theatre maker, director and actor from Cyprus. His work evolves in the intersection of performance and theatre, exploring spectacle and context. His practice expands with visual extensions using dramaturgy, scenography, choreography, sound, and directing. The theatre plays he directed were presented from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to theatres in the UK, Cyprus and New York. He presented solo works at the Point Centre for Contemporary Art (Nicosia, CY), Benaki Museum (Athens, GR), at the Centre for Performing Arts MITOS, and the Open House International Festival of Dance & Performance (Limassol, CY). His recent project with En.act theatre group represented Cyprus at the BJCEM 18th Mediterranea Young Artists Biennale (Tirana, AL). He graduated from East15 Acting School's Contemporary Theatre course (UK, 2015).
